Another weird gathering of fun projects! Few notable moments amidst them all…
First up. My friend Sandra Huntsman invited me to perform with her and Kenny Davidsen at the Tuscany Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. I was singing amidst some VERY talented people from different shows on the strip. It was a blast!
Second, I was asked to direct a show called Our Story Goes On, A jukebox musical of sorts about a family and their extended family and all the lessons they could learn from those that lived before them. It’s a little strange because I had already bought my tickets to New York and the performances were set for after I was to leave so I wasn’t able to attend the performances but I hear they were well received.
Third! I took the plunge and moved to the Big Apple! I reconnected with a performing friend I had somewhat grown up with in Vegas, Saum Eskandani, and he showed me the ropes of city life and connected me with some VERY influential people in the industry including Seth Rudetsky. Saum also got me involved in a fun project called Travis. Travis was and is an immersive theater game show experience told through technology involving athletic group activities. It was pretty cool to watch people come out of their shells in such a way and also cool because I’d never done anything like it before. A nice first exposure to the people of New York. “I THINK I’M GUNNA LIKE IT HERE!!”
